Kershaw, James Andrew

James Andrew Kershaw (1866-1946), scientist, was born on 13 April 1866 at Fitzroy, Melbourne, son of William Kershaw, taxidermist, and his second wife Elizabeth, née Boyde, both from the north of England. He was educated at Alma Road State School, St Kilda, and later at East St Kilda Grammar School. Kershaw was curartor of the National Museum, Melbourne.
