Robert Stott - Borroloola police trooper and ultimately police-commissioner in Central Australia see http://adb.anu.edu.au/biography/stott-robert-8690 Stott was the police officer at Borroloola who 'hosted' the Spencer and Gillen expedition and made the magistrate's quarters available for the two anthropologists. Stott was posted to Alice Springs in 1911, and was still there in 1926 when Spencer made his return visit.The family have preserved three interesting documents which relate to our project.
