Spencer 1901 collection, cylinder no.9. On box is written: 'Unkupirlella Corroboree, Southern Arunta, sung on Stevenson River, March 22 1901.' 1. Announcement: "The [indecipherable] Corroboree, sung on the Stevenson, March the 22nd 1901. This corroboree descended to the man who now owns it, from his, er, from a woman of the Alcheringa [Altyerrenge] that is, the pre-historic times of the Aborigines. That woman was his paternal Aunt ... now owns the Corroboree." 2. Unaccompanied male vocal solo. C6/1178 (better quality) is the master, C6/1128, C6/1129 and C6/1130 are duplicates.
