Spencer 1901 collection, cylinder no.7. On lid is written: 'Song sung at the great Urumpilla or fire ceremony of the Southern Arunta tribe. Sung on the Stevenson River March 22 - 1901.' 1. Announcement: As on lid. 2. Unaccompanied male vocal group. C6/1175 (broken) is the master, C6/1124 (better quality) and C6/1125 are duplicates. Reasonable quality recording but with some distortion. Recordist: Spencer, Walter Baldwin and Gillen, Francis James. Recording equipment: Edison phonograph. Rec. circumstances: Field trip. Recording notes: black wax cylinder
