Camp 56 on Spencer and Gillen Expedition 1901. Spencer (BSM50): ‘Briggs Lagoon’ Spencer: 'Warunga-unka' Gillen: Beetaloo Downs Station, 'Warung-unku' The waterhole adjacent to the station was shown on Favenc plan as Briggs Lagoon in 1879. It is believed to have been discovered by Surveyors Briggs and Headley, who were with Favenc and Crawford.
