This man joined the Spencer and Gillen Expedition between Wire Creek and Charlotte Waters. Spencer describes this man as "...rather a good for nothing lazy animal rejoicing in the name Billy, will probably keep us company as far as Charlotte Waters." (see entry on March 20 1901 at Wire Creek in MLMS S29/2) Gillen also describes him as "an unmitigated scoundrel" in his Camp Jottings (PRG54_1_1).
