Siebert, Otto

Otto Siebert lived at the Bethesda Mission, near Lake Killalpaninna between 1894 and 1902. He worked closely with Diyari and Wangkangurru people in the area and made detailed records of their language, beliefs, ceremonies, and family histories. Siebert photographed ceremonies, create a map of tribal boundaries and collected artefacts.
