Physical Description

Single sheet of unlined paper (once folded) featuring a rubbing of an engraved tjurunga, and pencilled inscriptions. The sheet is creased, and scuff-marked with red ochre on both sides.

Primary Comments

Pencil Rubbings of churingas some created in 1896 and some created in 1897. Published in "The Arunta". The rubbing of the object features three full circles, five pairs of semi-circles, two sets of parallel lines, and dotted 'tracks' at each end. There are pencilled inscriptions along each edge of the image, though predominantly along the upper edge. A pencilled inscription has been scribbled over.
