Physical Description

Single sheet of unlined paper with pencilled rubbing of one half of an engraved tjurunga. Handwritten inscriptions in pencil along both edges of the image identify features. The sheet is numbered '3' (circled], and '2' (top right corner). Hole in page, top left of sheet. There are four simple line drawings of objects on the reverse side.

Primary Comments

Pencil Rubbings of churingas some created in 1896 and some created in 1897. Published in "The Arunta". The segment of the tjurunga shown in this rubbing features 8 concentric circles and four sets of wavy parallel lines.
