Physical Description
Single sheet of unlined paper with pencilled rubbing of one half of an engraved tjurunga. Handwritten inscriptions in pencil along the bottom edge of the image identify features. The sheet is numbered '3' (circled], and '1' (bottom left corner). Hole in page top left of sheet. Faint scuff-marks of red ochre on reverse side.
Primary Comments
Pencil Rubbings of churingas some created in 1896 and some created in 1897. Published in "The Arunta". The segment of the tjurunga shown in this rubbing features 13 concentric circles and four sets of wavy parallel lines.
