Physical Description
Single sheet of unlined paper with pencilled rubbing of a segment of a carved tjurunga. Handwritten inscriptions in pencil along both edges of the image identify features of the engraving. The sheet is inscribed 'C' (circled); numbered '2' with alignment marks on top edge of sheet; and, numbered '3', bottom left. Hole in paper, top left. Scuff-marks of red ochre on reverse side.
Primary Comments
Pencil Rubbings of churingas some created in 1896 and some created in 1897. Published in "The Arunta". The segment of the tjurunga shown in this rubbing features three dotted circles, two sets of dotted parallel lines, and one set of lines at the edge of the image.
