Over 900 manuscript items including 47 notebooks, 2 diaries, 3 field journals, 12 sketchbooks, over 300 letters, the complete manuscript of Native Tribes of Central Australia, over 400 pages of notes, maps, newspaper cuttings etc. The museum also holds approximately 1500 ethnographic objects, a number of original wax cylinder sound recordings made in 1901 and 1912 and close to two hours of film footage.
